O restaurant sits on the Seine, in Levallois, just at the end of the street where I am currently working. Unfortunatly, the end of the street is quite a long walk away so going there for lunch is definitely not an option.
To cheer me up, my friend from work K took me there for a quick meal. After checking out the slightly pompous menu (where Boursin is offered for 8 euros a pop), we decided to have the “menu du jour” for €19.

Salade de lardon et oeuf poché
Lardons were nicely cooked, salad crunch and vinaigrette just enough to be tasted but not so much of it that it masked everything.
The egg was soft and runny.

Haddock fumé à la crème
The fish was tastily smoked and the cream light but the rice was overcooked.

Cheesecake
Very good! I liked the crunchy biscuit base.

The setting is very nice, seating is comfortable and the waiters are present but not obnoxious.
When asking for tap water, they bring a huge pitcher with ice and orange (much nicer than lemon in my opinion) so that you have plenty to go around.
One small gripe: the waiters made three mistakes on delivering the food to our table.
Noteworthy: The female toilets have a very boudoir feel to them and you can feel the river underneath your feet there, if nowhere else.
I realise that it is possible for me to edit these images to make them even yummier but I am feeling rather lazy today.
