Rest is Godliness Singapore memories: Cable car

There had been nothing but iPhone talks around this week. The London bombings went nearly unremarked upon, such was the hoopala around Apple’s new crack gadget.

While I’m usually the first one to pounce upon gadgets, this one leaves me totally cold. My dopod does better stuff than the i-can’t-Phone.

And like all First Gen Apple products it won’t work properly.

Nokia must be peeing themselves laughing that the N95 has been able to do for months what the iPhone is claiming to be doing.

Heck my 4 year old Orange SPV thingy did all that donkies years ago, plus it’s tough as old boots and doesn’t rely on an easily scratched touchscreen.

Yep, My Qtek 9100 (also known as Test Orange SPV M300 ) had the same functionnality quite a while ago.

I especialy like the idea of a 3M camera with GPS to do instant Geotagging / blogging on pictures.

I’m just not sure if I should get one when it hits the shelves or wait for some debugging of the platform…

I’m tempted to get a PDA Phone next time I upgrade so I can use my SatNav without having to use the PDA separately, but I’m not sure I can cope with hauling a brick around with me *shrug*

DS + Opera = Jiko has no need for a cell phone

After playing around with one today, I have to say though, it’s a really slick, well designed package and if I was actually interested in something that chock full of features, I’d go for it.
