It’s that time of the year again and how time seems to have flown… It seems that only yesterday, we were having the rainiest, crappiest summer ever.
So as is my tradition (whether on the blog or not), here is a review of my year.
What I did this year:
Travelled to Indonesia and Amsterdam. Found something I was really interested in at work. Decided that I wanted to go ahead with 360Fashion and working with Kevin on other projects.
Best moments:
-
Finally feeling at peace with myself, about who I am, who I want to be and how I intend on connecting the dots.
-
Feeling the years peel away just by talking with Tav on the phone one night.
-
Working with anina on 360Fashion.
-
Meeting up with friends old and new, met through the Internet and offline.
Worst moments:
- Being kicked off a project at work, which was pretty traumatising and could have been a very bad thing.
- Getting a letter saying that the state wanted to get the assistance money they had given to my mother for her illness.
Funniest moments:
- Having dinner with my former lab partners. We’d not seen each other in a couple of years but apart from looking slightly older (for them :p), it was just the same and we had a huge laugh.
- Going to Amsterdam to see Sally, watching Jerry Springer with her.
Top 5 books:
- East of the Sun, West of the Moon - Murasaki
Top 5 movies/series:
This year, I haven’t been able to go much to the cinema, as I devoted a lot of time to online activities (yes, bad geekette…).
- Veronica Mars
- Pirate of the Carribeans 3
- High School Musical 2: Brainless and fluffy, so amusing.
- Scream: Seriously. I saw it again on DVD and it epitomises my high school years, watching slasher movies and carbonising popcorn at L’s house.
- Grey’s Anatomy: E.R. for girls complete with eye candy.
Grateful for:
- My dad: He’s the best dad ever and I couldn’t do half the things I do without him. I’m really grateful that his health is excellent.
- My friends: as strange and far-away as they are, all the ones I have today have contributed in a good way to who I am today.
Plans for 2008:
- Going skiing in March
- Going to NYC to visit Exar, optionally Rhode Island and Texas to meet up with Coren and Tav, super optionally, two tickets to Ottawa to see my brother and Tiggy.
- Continuing work on 360Fashion to achieve bigger things, working with Kevin on OL project.
- Going surfing this summer
New Year’s resolutions?
None whatsoever, since I never really hold them when I take them. I will try to generally improve but that’s about it.
