Tonight, there’s a documentary fiction about the Canadian fighter plane, Avro Air’s Arrow.
And guess who worked on the Arrow? My daddy, that’s who! Now how is that for cool? I’ll be watching with bated breath just in case they used real names and he happens to be mentionned. I’m so proud of him.
Too bad it didn’t get made in the end… but I don’t think I’d be here if it had.

Today, nullsphere is 7 years old. 7 years of blogging (of which a few years of archive are still not here because I couldn’t import them yet…) and moaning about my life.
Woot. Have a complimentary glass of water on the house!

But not from outer space.
Just back from Prague, where I had a really, really good time with my colleagues. For a work seminar, it felt really like a holiday camp, pretty removed from day-to-day reality.
After a plane ride with a screaming kid (he screamed for two and a half hours; there are singers that can’t do that) and a quick drive home, I slipped back into my lazy weekend habits by doing nothing the whole weekend. Well, next to nothing because TBH, there’s rarely a time where I’m not doing anything.
Paris in summer is a strange place. It is a city with no people in certain places and an overcrowded hive in others. I happen to live in one of the deadzones. On Saturday, having emerged from a well deserved 12-hour sleep, Dad and I made our way down to the shopping center for a Starbucks and food shopping. There was absolutely no one on the streets…

You know that feeling when you know you’ve seen this-or-that on the web before but you didn’t save the link and now you can’t google it again to save your life? Right. Yeah. So this is me, googling furiously to find a photographer who made a series of photos of Parisians and their apartments.
It was beautiful, lively, reminded me of a Japanese book I own. And I can’t. Fucking. Find. It.
Edit: Just as I say this, I manage to hit the right keyword combo. Seriously, my mind’s like a Venus Flytrap. Once I saw something, it never escapes and my mind auto-tags it… No wonder I can’t remember what I did yesterday, if I remember that some website that I saw well over 6 months ago is about: Paris, apartments, I am a Parisienne, photographer.
Behold the power of my mind: Baudouin
Oh and check out Mademoiselle à Paris. Gahlo made the layout, it rocks.
