Please disregard the horrible skin condition. Contrary to appearances, I do not have the bubonic plague: I have a scar on my nose (broke the skin with one of my nails) and I’m not made up in the least.

It seems that my entire life has had some part of it devoted to whining about how short my lashes are. Particularly when I see people like S. or F., who have no need to bat their eyelashes at anyone blessed with what can only be described as THE DEVIL as fat spider legs in a row.

But no more!

The miracle product has arrived. W. told me about it while we were at Sephora and it’s true. Even if you’re not a makeup artist, it’s definitely possible to define great lashes.

I had tried the Diorshow mascara and while I was quite impressed with it, I’d not been impressed enough to buy it. However, in rolled Diorshow Black Out, a blacker than black version of the same, with a volume and lengthening brush. The Sephora make-up artist showed it on me and W. The result is vertiginous.

One coat of regular Diorshow gives me lash definition. Two coats gives me great length. Add to that one coat of Black Out and my lashes hit the roof. And my glasses.

I even tried DBO on its own yesterday, two coats. The results are spectacular.

It does not goop (although if you want to do very small lashes near the corners of the eye, wiping the tip is essential), it spreads nicely and does not dry too fast. Three coats are possible and still remain a fairly natural looking addition to your face.
Another thing I’m going to try is with Shu Uemura’s clear lash repair to give extra body.

I think I’m in love.

For once not in my plate!!

The Calminator managed to get her hot little hands on two of this. Excellent! Thanks, chickee! I can’t wait for next week when everyone is here and ready to eat, shop and goss til we drop.

Just before making it to the Style Scout / 360fashion meet up, I zoomed into the Printemps and went to Dior Souliers. It’s a well know fact around me that my habitual choice of footwear varies from the grossly inappropriate (grotty Pumas at work) to the vastly unfortunate (new high heels when taking public transport).

I decided to deviate from usual modus operandi and actually pick shoes that fit me AND look good. Well, other than Louboutins which are fantastic(ly expensive).

I got a pair of cute little flats and another pair of pointy shoes -but in leather this time- with a very discreet D on them. Instead of screaming what they are, they gently murmur. The flats are incredibly comfortable, as I walked in them from Hotel du Louvre to WHSmith (almost at Concorde) with little pain.

Good thing one of the 360 projects is a fashion shopping map…
